Devin Potter

Devin was born and raised in Chico, CA and has strong ties with the community. He attended California State University, Chico, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.

Devin joined Asset Management Group in 2007 and partnered with John Roney's financial consulting practice. John and Devin work together to service individuals, large and small business retirement plans (401k), and charitable foundations. Devin and John work with a team of two Client Service Associates who ensure reliable and prompt communication and service.

Devin earned the distinguished designation of Certified Financial Planner™ Professional in 2012. Being CFP® certified means someone has voluntarily taken the extra steps needed to provide a high standard of financial planning to those they serve.

Devin uses a refined process to help ensure that your assets are invested in accordance with your goals. He and his team work to collect all relevant information needed to create a plan in line with the goals that matter most to you. This includes learning your risk tolerance, retirement goals, and creating an investment policy statement outlining shared understanding of those goals. Devin also believes in conducting annual check-ins to make sure your goals and life circumstances haven’t changed and making the appropriate recommendations if they have.

Devin is dedicated to serving the Chico community through his positions on the Chico Rotary Club Board of Directors, the Enloe Foundation Board of Directors and the CSU, Chico Business Advisory Board.

Devin is licensed in life insurance, variable annuities, and holds the series 6, 7 and 63 securities registrations through LPL Financial.
