Muhammad graduated from California State University, Chico with a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics. He earned his MBA with a distinction in Finance and did doctoral work in Financial Economics at the University of Oregon. Muhammad also holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst since 1995 and Certified Financial Planner since 1992.

For over 13 years he taught in the areas of Corporate/Investment Finance & Portfolio Management at CSU, Chico and the University of Oregon. He’s a member of Phi Kappa Phi, an interdisciplinary honors society, and Beta Gamma Sigma, a business honors society.

He is happily married with two children.
